Charlene Murphy brings nearly 15 years of entertainment, lifestyle and corporate public relations experience to the Coterie.  As Senior Director, Charlene's primary duties include developing and executing strategic publicity and marketing campaigns, managing media and talent and relations, implementing publicity tactics for television and lifestyle properties, and spearheading special events that include press tours and trade shows.

Charlene has directed several programming projects and events for various Discovery Communications' networks, including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, and Planet Earth.  She has also managed media relations campaigns for numerous PBS specials, as well as such lifestyle accounts as the exclusive wellness center Stone Eagle Retreat; luxury home furnishings company Shine Home; and organic cosmetics company Lip Ink International.

Prior to joining the Coterie, Charlene served as Account Supervisor at the legendary PR firm of Rogers & Cowan.  In addition to managing a team, she was responsible for creating and implementing strategic campaigns for clientele in the Corporate Entertainment Division.  Her clients included Sirius Satellite Radio, Texas Instruments' Digital Cinema Division, FasTV, Digital Hollywood, iHollywood and ADoctorInYourHouse.com.  During her tenure, she produced award-winning corporate entertainment campaigns, including The Carnie Wilson Obesity Campaign. She also worked on high-profile events including Elton John's Annual Oscar Party, The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Event, Revlon's Fire & Ice Ball, The Grammys and The Latin Grammy Awards.

Before joining Rogers & Cowan, Charlene served as Account Executive at The Bohle Company, one of the 50 largest independent PR agencies in the country, and the largest technology-focused firm in Southern California.  She acted as a media specialist for clientele in the video game, consumer electronics and technology industries, servicing such clients as Infogrames, THQ, IVI, Grolier, the historic Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, and the Rose Queen's Brunch.

With a broadcast journalism degree from San Diego State University, Charlene began her career in the television news sector.  Her experiences included supporting the CBS Evening News with Anchor Dan Rather during the Republican National Convention in San Diego.
